Custom Item Token Guide
Custom Item Upgrade Tokens Guide
1.) Click on Toolset in the NWN Launcher.
2.) Open any existing module. In tutorial I chose Dark Ranger's Treasure
3.) A warning box may pop up. Click Yes.
4.) Right click an area in the left toolset and view it.
5.) In the right toolbar click an icon that resembles a sword.
6.) Click "Custom" tab and right click in the correct item category bring up the menu as shown. (For example, if you want armor your screen would look like this:
7.) Select the item you wish to create. In the tutorial I'll be creating Volrath's Armor.
8.) Name the item, then set make it Magical, Level 20, and Godly quality.
9.) Select the item category. Volrath's Armor is Armor & Clothing Subcategory.
10.) Launch the item properties. This is for changing armor properties and raising it's level to 21.
11.) Look at General tab then click Appearance.*Important:* the torso determines what (nonmagical)AC the item has. Setting it to lower "number" will lower AC. Play around with it.
12.) In Properties Tab remove all items from the right list by selecting a property and clicking "<-"
Then assign strength ability bonus by selecting it and clicking "->".
13.) Double-click the strength bonus to open "Property Parameters Window". Set it to +6 and click "OK". To conclude the tutorial, just play around with the menus steps 6-12, until you get what you want, within the custom items guidelines and 250,000 gp value limit of lvl 21 item(500,000 gp for lvl 22, and 750,000 gp for lvl 23).
14.) To export the finished item, right click it in the right toolset menu, and click export
15.) I named it VolrathArmor001 to make it easier for DMs to find it & send it in for importation.
16.) Email the .erf file, found in the erf folder of your neverwinter folder, to loccustoms (at) hotmail.com.
