Go see the chessboard in the Guild Meeting Hall to apply a race. They are added there, and you need the Guild Merchant Pass from your Guild Leader. The races have no xp penalty. Guild members can apply any races listed below.
(For example: If you are in Clan Hooligan you can use the Defenders of Chance skin.)
