Go see the chessboard in the Guild Meeting Hall to apply a race. They are added there, and you need the Guild Merchant Pass from your Guild Leader. The races have no xp penalty. Guild members can apply any races listed below.(For example: If you are in Clan Hooligan you can use the Defenders of Chance skin.)
